Africa’s Elephant Kingdom

April sees the release of the soundtrack to 1998’s Imax film Africa’s Elephant Kingdom which comprises a score recorded in and utilising musicians from Cape Town, Seattle and Sydney. Orchestra is interwoven with African textures around a story of a group of elephants documented on their annual migration across Kenya during a particularly harsh drought.
The CD will be available on iTunes, Amazon mp3, Rhapsody and Napster.
Horses: The Story of Equus Soundtrack Release

Horses: The Story of Equus is an IMAX film released 2002. The soundtrack has been re-released on iTunes, Amazon mp3, Rhapsody and Napster and features electronic, Orchestral and Celtic/Middle Eastern blends to represent the multi heritage and origin of these beautiful animals.
The CD includes an additional 20 minutes of material not included in the film and extended mixes of existing cues.
The Last Confession of Alexander Pearce

Roger has recently completed the soundtrack album for the Last Confession of Alexander Pearce – the real life drama of the events leading to the capture of the colonies most infamous escapee Alexander Pearce in Tasmania 1824 being the only convict of seven others found after several months alive. On Pearce’s confession it was revealed he had murdered and eaten the dead in order to survive – an event which shocked the British establishment of the day to the core. LC of AP features outstanding performances from Adrian Dunbar (The Crying Game,My Left Foot) and Ciaran McMenamin (To End All Wars, Sunday).
The production has been acclaimed internationally for it’s depiction of a man transported for life as a petty thief and transformed through his brutal incarceration into infamy. It has been nominated for an Irish Academy Award.
The soundtrack which utilises a string quintet, dulcimers and prepared cellos with voice has been released on iTunes in February 2009 on Collywood Records.
It is also available for download from Amazon, Rhapsody and Napster and features extended and additional tracks.
The film is aired on the BBC February 24th.
